Palerang Financial Services Limited (PFSL) owns and operates the two Community Bank branches Bungendore, Braidwood and Crookwell Agency under a franchise agreement with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited and provide full banking services. PFSL have been certified as a Social Enterprise and nationally recognised as a sustainable community-built business that contributes to community prosperity.
Why are we different
Community Banks are an initiative of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank which enables communities to own and operate their own bank within their communities. This means that not only are we are providing local banking services and jobs, we are returning profits to the communities where they are created .
Our branches have already returned over $8 Million to the local community through sponsorships, donations and grants to local projects.
Our Community Bank® branches currently employ 16 staff and turnover in excess of $2 million dollars annually, much of which is spent in the local economy. It is important that capital created in communities is spent in the communities.
This helps to ensure capital is retained locally, commercial activity is stimulated and communities are supported to grow.
