Scholarships

Our Scholarship program is open to young people of Braidwood and Bungendore area.

Every year, two Braidwood area and two Bungendore area students benefit from our scholarship program, which will supplement their study costs in their first year of higher education.

Braidwood & Bungendore Community Banks Chairman Garry Cook said the Community Bank Scholarship Program was launched because the Banks’ Board of Directors believes education is a key tool for local students to be able to pursue their ambitions.

“By helping young people develop & enhance their skills, either at university or at TAFE, the returns for the students, their families and the local community go beyond employment, and extend to developing a conscious public spiritedness in a future that will have many changes & challenges.”

“The Community Bank Scholarship Program is a transformative undertaking that changes the lives of local students, strengthens communities for the long term and is a tangible example of the good that banking with us can achieve.”

“Our young people are our future and we believe they deserve the best support possible to help forge their careers and achieve their dreams.”

Successful Braidwood & Bungendore Community Bank Scholarship applicants will initially receive funding for one year and depending on academic performance, the scholarship may be renewed to assist in the second year of their study.

The Braidwood & Bungendore Community Bank Scholarship is part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Scholarship Program, which partners with Community Bank branches, Rural Bank and The University of Melbourne.
